Professional Presenters Are Hard To Find
When you are thinking of hiring a presenter, the first question that goes through your mind is usually, "Are they any good?" You know that it doesn't matter how well they know the content if they can't capture the attention of the audience. Now, I could just give you a list of testimonials from happy clients, but I know that you want to make up your own mind.
So below is a video of a presentation that I recently did. Please forgive the quality, it was shot on a home camera and was only intended for me. You see I like to video myself doing new presentations so that I can improve on them. I have cut in the powerpoint and videos that I used so you get the full picture.
It's a long video - about 40 minutes so may be slow to load depending on your connection speed. Watch as much as you need to make your mind up that I can WoW your target audience! As you do so please remember this was created as a presentation for a conference, not a training program.

If you are reading this bit then you have watched enough of the video to know that I can deliver spellbinding presentations. But what about qualifications?

Subjects That I Am Proficient In
Some people wonder how I can have expertise in such a wide range of subjects. Well for me they are all related. As well as being a presenter and trainer I am also a business coach. Simply put, I need to know about all these areas. I develop my own training materials and course outlines which also means that I am continuously learning and refining my materials and approach to delivery. My golden rule is always to know far more about any subject than the level to which I train. That means I am always able to answer questions and tailor the material to meet the needs of the audience.
And let's be honest, we expect our leaders and managers to know all this stuff, so why would you want to hire a trainer that only knows some of it? A trainer today not only needs expert level knowledge, but also how that knowledge fits in with other tools and models. There isn't one model that works for everyone, so you need to ensure that you hire someone that is flexible.
I have several 100 gigabytes of training materials on my harddrive. As you can imagine I also do a lot of research in my subject areas. The result is that I can quite easily bring knowledge from one area into another as appropriate. The video above combines NLP, Leadership, Self Belief, Networking Skills, and Influence Techniques. If you missed them, watch again and see how I capture an audience using enrolment techniques, stories, metaphors, stage anchoring, tonal anchoring and Satir archetypes.
Using my unique mix of NLP and business skills I have developed and delivered training in all of the following areas:
Leadership Development
Leadership Means many things to many people. However, the list below provides the basic fundamentals.
- Self Awareness
- Emotional Intelligence
- Strategic Analysis and Visioning

Management Skills
Management is different to Leadership. As a manager you are responsible for ensuring that the systems, processes and people are all acting and working as they should. This requires a different skill set.
- Staff Training
- Change Management
- Systems Thinking
- Resource Allocation
- Project Management
- Process Management
- Performance Management
- Problem Solving
- Creative Management
People Skills
Both Leadership and management mean getting things accomplished through people. Here are some more specialised areas that you may find useful:
- Personality and Behavioural Profiling
- DISC Behavioural Profiling

Team Development
There is more to team development than just sticking a group of people together. As well as the Leadership, Management and People skills, the following are aslo very useful:
- Understanding Team Dynamics

- Action Oriented Leadership
- Delegation and skills assessment
Business Skills
Having the above skill set is not enough if you are running a business. You also need to get trained in the following:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Business Accumen
It seems like a lot - but don't we expect our managers to know all this? If so then shouldn't you use a trainer that can match the training to what they already know?
